What's New
We're Coming Back
After almost 6 years, we are planning on coming back this fall.
I stopped updating tablewine.com when I decided to
follow my passion and take a job in the industry.
I thought that my reviews either by excluding or
including certain wines might raise questions about
objectivity.
But after six years, I think I can come back and
start once again to talk candidly about wine with
my readers.
Tablewine will be coming back by the fall (I hope.)
But in the meantime, I have started a blog for
wine lovers who have cams on their phones and want
to submit a pic of a wine they are tasting along
with a small pic of the bottle or label.
The name of the blog is WinePhones and you can access
it at WinePhones.com
Look forward to hearing from you.
This
month's Survey focuses
on comfort levels when ordering wine.
While you're here, you might
want to voice your opinions or make some suggestions in the TableWine
Forum.
What We're About
Tablewine.com® is dedicated to discussing affordable
wines--wines that you might enjoy yourself every day or serve with
confidence to your guests. The selections we highlight will generally
range from $10 to $20 a bottle. Of course, exceptions will be made
when we do features like Holiday Wines, Bottles for Special Occasions,
or Best Jug Wines for Backyard Barbecues.
Each month, we focus either on a specific varietal,
or a particular wine region, or an interesting food and wine pairing.
We do not rate wines--no scores, no stars,
no points; nothing but words. We only discuss wines that we think
are worth drinking. In other words, if a wine is listed on this
page, we think it's worth a try. We leave the scoring to you. We
also hope that you'll send us your comments about the wines we recommend
or wines you discover on your own.
Our awards include:
